SCHOOL HISTORY

Westlake High School (WHS) in South Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia opened in the fall of 1988. As part of the Fulton County consolidation plan, Westlake was formed by the closing of Lakeshore High School in southern College Park and the closing of Westwood High School in southwest Atlanta. Located at the site of the former Westwood campus, Westlake has risen with the best qualities of the two former schools.
